Liminal Audio's Session Tools is a device specifically for Ableton's Session view, providing a couple of convenient features for live jamming and improv:

Preset clip length recording in bars and beats

Auto quantize

Swing amount

Floating info window

Each feature can be easily mapped to a key or MIDI input.
